Perhaps it's as a result of growing up on a farm around a bunch of animals - in particular Jake - that Krysten Ritter has become an animal rights activist, with a focus on dogs that has been evident in advertising campaigns for PETA. These have included adverts to warn dog owners of the dangers of leaving their pets in hot cars, during the summer, and raising awareness of animal adoption.

Ritter herself has a rescue dog, Mikey, and believes that everyone should choose to adopt dogs rather than buying them. All dogs deserve someone like Krysten Ritter.
