Little-known Chicago-based group The Malcolm Effect wrote a song about Alyson Hannigan called "This One Time" - a reference to her famous lines in American Pie when she refers to what went on at band camp - which you can listen to in the above video. The band's style was described as "synthcore" - an eclectic fusion of post-hardcore and metalcore with electronic music. The Alyson Hannigan track was featured on the album Breaker Breaker (on which there is also a bonus acoustic version of the song). The song clearly stems from an in-band crush on the actress - it includes lines like "Alyson Hannigan won't you be mine?"
