Well, according to most polls and surveys, anyway, and you just can't argue with the statistics. But most people still do. Say what you like about Rose Tyler but you can't deny that she's left a lasting impression on the Doctor Who mythology. Whether or not that's a good legacy is up to you, of course, but her subsequent returns clearly haven't done that much to damage her reputation (contrary to popular belief) because she's still taking the prized top spot on most coveted countdowns of Doctor Who's greatest companions in history. Most recently she reigned supreme in Radio Times' Companion Champion vote off and she also beat off her fellow competition to be named as the show's greatest woman by BBC America, sealing the deal with a landslide 57% of the final vote. So not only is she the show's greatest companion, but she's also the show's greatest woman, too. Blimey, Rose. Give someone else a try...
