10 Things You Somehow Missed In The Office

10. St Patrick's Day - A Famous Italian Tradition

Ireland's most famous day of celebration was typically celebrated with gusto amongst the workforce of Dunder Mifflin's Scranton Branch.

After all, this was an office where the water fountains literally ran green on Saint Paddy's. Michael even risked his job standing up to Jo Bennet, simply to allow his exhausted workforce to leave for a series of debauched post-work celebrations. Needless to say, this is a holiday that the members of Dunder Mifflin Scranton - and the regional manager in particular - took very seriously.

Unfortunately, Michael was as ridiculously misguided as ever in his attempted tribute to the patron saint of Ireland - although one couldn't be blamed in the slightest for missing his latest hilarious gaffe. Upon closer examination of the background of his office in Season Six's Saint Patrick's Day, it becomes apparent that Michael has wheeled out a flag to honor the day - it's just unfortunate that it happens to be the Italian flag.

In defense of the geographically challenged Mr Scott, the two countries' banners do look fairly similar. With that being said, this is Michael we're talking about - there's an exceedingly high chance that he believed Saint Patrick's Day was the national celebration of Italy.
