HBO"When you play the Game of Thrones you either win, or you die." No line has summed up the atmosphere of HBO's epic series quite like Cersei Lannister's warning to Eddard Stark. The fight for power and control of the Seven Kingdoms is just a game and only those who know how to play can survive. Kings Landing is the board and everyone is either a player or a piece. Kings Landing, the centre of events in Game of Thrones is a city full of secrets, corruption, conspiracy and lots of death. It's a city where only the sharpest and most evil minds can prosper. Tywin Lannister, Littlefinger, Varys, Cersei, Margery Tyrrell and Tyrion Lannister have all proven that they can hang in the game. Ned Stark alas, was a great soldier, but a poor politician and when surrounded by so much corruption, it seems inevitable that he would meet his end there. The game was not his forte. It makes us wonder though, if Ned couldn't play the Game of Thrones, who else could? What would happen in a parallel universe where some of our favorite characters from other shows arrived in Kings Landing? Which famous characters could play the game that Ned Stark couldn't? To survive the political minefield of Kings Landing they would have to be cunning, intelligent, ambitious, ruthless and willing to play dirty. If any of these ten characters suddenly landed in Game of Thrones, they could play the game and win.
