It's OK to be stuck in a soul-sucking office job that you hate and is literally wasting your life, because obviously your soulmate is going to be waiting in the wings (or at the front desk) and it will all be worth it, right? Right?? Pam and Jim gave people false hope about the probability of them somehow finding the man or woman of their dreams at the office. Aside from that being a workplace no-no, it just isn't very likely. Because face it, the chances of finding a man like Jim Halpert anywhere don't have particularly good odds. That man is as close to perfect husband material as you're likely to find. And Pam isn't too shabby either: she's adorable and has a reserved but kind of amazing sense of humour.
