10 TV Scenes You Didn't Realise Were Tricking You
3. Kat Dennings Wasn't On Set For Her Final Line - WandaVision
Very few people had Kat Denning's Darcy Lewis on their MCU bingo cards heading into the first entry into the studios' fourth Phase, but the Thor supporting player very much acted as a welcome addition throughout the first-ever Disney+ Marvel series by the name of WandaVision.
However, the character only being afforded one line in the show's series finale was enough to leave many scratching their heads in the wake of the astrophysicist playing a rather sizeable role in the action up to that point.
Well, as it goes, Dennings' final line of "Have fun in prison!" on the back of smashing her van into Director Hayward was actually executed in front of a blue screen, according to IMDb, with the star's already shot scene not being used for the finale and Dennings ultimately not being able to attend the new set of filming dates.
And while producer Mary Livanos was quick to note that, "I don't think (Dennings' absence) had to do with anything COVID-related," it's clear Denning's must've been too busy to take part in this portion of the shoot if she was forced to resort to a brief blue screen conclusion in the end.
Either way, you'd be forgiven for assuming she was very much present on set, such is the effectiveness of the CGI on show.
