10 TV Shows That Deserve Comic Book Continuations

7. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

The €œTerminator€ franchise has been rocky since €œT2€ was released. The last two movies released were average at best, and we€™re soon going to be getting a reboot of the series that may or may not involve The Rock. With the TV show, we got something different in the form on an alternate timeline. Ignoring the events of the last two films, Sarah and John Connor are sent from 1999 to 2007 to avoid yet another Terminator trying to kill them. As usual though, they had another mind-altered Terminator protecting them named Cameron, played by the gorgeous Summer Glau In the series finale, John is sent forward in time to the everyone€™s favorite robot filled future, where he was greeted by Kyle Reese (his father/sidekick) and Allison Young, the human that Cameron was visually based on. This was the result of supercomputer John Henry, who was built to fight the Terminators in the future. Meanwhile, Sarah is still stuck in the past wondering what the hell happened to her son. Oh yeah, and she has cancer. I would not want this show continued on TV because it would mean that Lena Headey wouldn€™t be able to play Cersei Lannister on €œGame of Thrones.€ Since Dark Horse is publishing a new "Terminator" series based in the future, a €œSarah Connor Chronicles€ series would be the perfect companion piece. Let€™s keep exploring that alternate €œTerminator€ universe that doesn€™t involve the Governator. I think it offers a nice change of pace. One thing, though: get John Connor back to the present. Although the apocalyptic future is cool, let€™s keep the series based in the present. Hell, we could even see Skynet team up with Siri and Watson the Jeopardy computer.
