10 TV Shows You Need To Binge Watch Right Now
10. Chernobyl
What is the cost of lies? This five-episode HBO miniseries takes a deep look into the 1986 nuclear disaster. Not only does it delve into how the explosion occurred, but it also details how the Russian government tried to cover it up after the fact. It then depicts the years long struggle to contain the radiation and fallout (pun not intended yet still welcomed).
It is dark, brooding, and deeply unsettling from the opening scene to the final credits. Chernobyl shows all of the tragic decisions that took place leading up to the accident, as well as the intense difficulties that took place afterwards, and it does so in stunning detail. It does not shy away from the truly horrific things that took place in the aftermath of the event, showcasing all of the branching bits of harm that formed from the disaster.
Featuring some of the greatest cinematography to ever grace our screens, every detail of Chernobyl is meant to make you feel uncomfortable. Even with skin crawling, and a face full of anger, it is near impossible to stop watching. Once again, what is the cost of lies?
