10 Underrated TV Shows You Need To Start Watching

10. Party Down

Cult classic comedy series don't get much more cult than Party Down, the legendary sitcom co-created by Paul Rudd which stars Adam Scott as a failed actor who returns to work for the titular catering company.

Party Down debuted in 2009 and aired for two seasons before being cancelled, because despite strong reviews ratings were incredibly low - a common problem with shows airing on Starz.

After years of failed attempts to get a film or revival series off the ground, in 2021 a six-episode third season was finally announced, as brought back almost the entire ensemble cast, save for Lizzy Caplan due to scheduling conflicts.

Party Down's third season recently finished airing amid rave reviews, and though fan response has been near-universally positive, its ratings have again been disappointingly lackluster.

It is, in the most literal sense of the word, underrated.

This certainly makes the prospect of a fourth season decidedly less likely, despite the principal cast members all expressing their eagerness to return. Short of the show enjoying a major uptick in viewership on streaming in the months to come, Starz will likely give it the chop for a second time.
