7. Z: The Beginning Of Everything

The first of two F. Scott Fitzgerald-related projects on this list, Z: The Beginning of Everything will focus on the woman who stood (and drank) next to him, Zelda.

Christina Ricci will star as a young Zelda Sayre, moving through her life before she met the famous writer, and then charting their lives together. The production values look great, gloriously recreating the Jazz Age glamour, and Ricci is generally fun to watch (and somehow still capable of passably playing a teenager).

It remains to be seen just how much story they can tell with this setup as a multi-season show, rather than a one-and-done biopic, but Zelda is one of the most enigmatic figures from that time, and a study of her could provide plenty of interest, while shaping up as Amazon's attempt at tackling a lavish period drama.
