10 Upcoming TV Shows That Are Already Doomed

10. Orphan Black: Echoes

Orphan Black spin-off series Echoes certainly had some solid on-paper promise with the great Krysten Ritter playing the lead role, but a major spanner was thrown in the works due to the recent Hollywood strikes.

Principal photography on the series was completed by last January, making a 2023 release date a given.

However, the strikes caused AMC to delay its airing to 2024, but because they had already agreed that Australian network Stan could premiere the show in 2023, Stan indeed released all the episodes at once in November 2023.

And so, while there's no legal way for most of the world to watch Orphan Black: Echoes, the episodes have already been online on piracy websites for months, ensuring that when Echoes does finally premiere in the U.S. sometime this year, its ratings are sure to take a serious hit.

But far more damaging than piracy? The fact that early reactions from fans who've watched the series have been seriously lukewarm at best, and so by the time it finally releases through legit channels, many may simply have lost interest.

And so, it already seems unlikely that Echoes will get renewed for a second season.
