In the 1980s a generation of Australian kids grew up with a constant backdrop of cheesy American sitcoms. Most of them had long-since ended by the time we watched them for the first time, but they made for cheap and easy programming. It was a simply equation: networks kept them on endless rotation - we kept on watching them. Over and over and over again. But was it really just cheesy, disposable TV pap? Maybe the memory cheats.
