10 Ways To Save Family Guy

5. Avoid Gimmicks

And while we're at it, avoid gimmicks! Example: The aforementioned death of Brian Griffin episode, only to have him brought back just a little bit later (at least they made it out of the episode, but it still wasn't very good). Example 2: The Simpsons Guy crossover. It was sort of cool that they tried it, but as it was written by a Family Guy writer alone, it didn't really have the sensibility of The Simpsons about it. It had its moments, but in all honesty, Simpsorama was the better crossover. No more of those, please. They're the signs of a struggling show, just like Ke$ha being sung during the opening of The Simpsons.
