10. Karen Peralta (Season 3 Episode 14)

Jake is excited to introduce Amy to his mother, Karen but things take a dark turn when Jakes Dad (Roger) turns up too. Diaz and Boyle are tasked with trying out body cams on their latest bust and Gina, Holt, Hitchcock and Scully pool together their talents to take on an Escape Room.

What sucks: Honestly, the Diaz and Boyle storyline is so funny that it completely distracts from the other things going on in this episode. Jake's story about him seeing his sleazebag father again doesn't land in the way it was intended to and, although there are funny moments in the Escape Room, we'd all rather just see more from Diaz and Boyle.

What didn't suck: As mentioned previously, the Diaz and Boyle bodycam story is absolutely hilarious. Whilst the two are looking for the perp, Boyle gets some soup spilled over his camera and goes off to change clothes. Rosa, meanwhile, finds the perp and chases him into the men's bathroom to find Boyle completely naked. To make matters worse, the footage is examined by the whole precinct in order to evaluate the effectiveness of bodycams.
