2. He Saved Saddam Hussein's Life During The Gulf War
Episode: "Insane Clown Poppy" (Season 12, Episode 3)
As mentioned, Krusty's illegitimate daughter Sophie was born following a one-night stand he had with a soldier during the Gulf War. This soldier was Erin, who he hooked up with while performing a USO tour for the troops.
The next morning, Erin realises she's late for an important mission - to assassinate Saddam Hussein.
Krusty follows Erin and tackles her just as she's about to fire a rocket at Hussein, causing Erin to fail her mission (and hate Krusty forever more), while saving the tyrant's life.
Given that civilian deaths alone in the Gulf War are estimated to be as high as 200,000, not to mention everyone Hussein had executed or "disappeared" until his 2003 capture, it's fair to say that Krusty could've saved a ton of lives by letting Erin do her job.
That's not to ignore the de-stability Hussein's sudden death would've caused, nor the possibility of another despot quickly taking his place, but in terms of tangible, accountable human suffering, this is absolutely Krusty's gravest sin.
