Following the success of DuckTales, Disney decided to see if the template would work with other characters. Which is how we've ended up with this amazing cartoon. The theme song boasts claims of our two intrepid heroes being just as clever as Holmes and Watson, and honestly, who could argue? We certainly wouldn't. And the theme song is just a little part of why the show works. Ch-ch-ch-Chip 'n Dale! Ch-ch-ch-Chip and Dale! Classic. Although it did confuse me in my early teens why a male stripper group named itself after two chipmunk cartoons. But some things are better left unanswered.
