6. The Purple Testament

William Reynolds is a soldier in the Pacific theater of World War II, who sees a purple glow in the faces of GIs about to be killed in action. This includes Dick York, of Bewitched fame, which is quite a bummer. This ability makes Reynolds a very sought after man with his unit, but not in a good way. As you might expect, he eventually sees the glow in his own mirror, but is a really good sport about it.
