The Doctor has now been lighting up our screens for over half a century so it's no surprise that he's developed a legion of dedicated fans - affectionately referred to as 'Whovians' - along the way. And rather deservedly, too. Admiration for the Time Lord's ongoing adventures is as far reaching as the show itself and it still manages to appeal to pretty much every demographic. Tailored as a family show, it ultimately speaks to the young, the old, the adventure-driven and even the more mathematical inclined, whilst bringing something to the table that can be enjoyed by fantasy addicts and casual viewers alike. It even holds the attention of those who have never been interested in the genre before which is a real testament to the show's writing and execution. Doctor Who well and truly has something for everyone and many of its self confessed devotees also happen to be famous figures themselves who have either joined the party with its 21st century revival or been following his adventures since their childhood, ultimately becoming inspired by them to embark on a career of showbiz themselves. It is some of the more unknown 'celebrity' fans which are included in this list, from real life scientists to Hollywood actors, and there's even a touch of royalty in there too.
