11. AT&T's "You Will" Predicts Modern Tablet Computers
A 1993 ad campaign by AT&T, entitled "You Will," gave a variety of crazy technology predictions, claiming that the viewer would one day have access to the inventions. One of these ads stated that we'd one day be able to send a fax while lounging around on the beach. We've moved on from faxed these days, but the mock-up of this 'portable fax machine' looks remarkably like modern tablet computers that are popular today. In fact, the screen grab looks like it could feasibly be taken from a genuine advertisement aired in the last few years. There were many more predictions made by this eerily prophetic campaign that have also since come true.
