12 Problems Only Doctor Who Fans Will Understand

Who said being a Whovian was easy?

It's not easy being a Doctor Who fan, you know. It's a constant battle between what's right and what's wrong, what's good and what's bad... and whether or not bow ties actually are as cool as a certain incarnation of our beloved Time Lord would have us believe. Well, at least everyone can agree on that last one (they are cool - don't listen to River, OK?!), but everything else is pretty much an open book as far as the musings of a Whovian are concerned. Fans are even arguing within the show's community about the latest storylines and developments, so they seemingly stand no chance at all when they're even coming to blows with their own kind. Seriously. You knew the Doctor Who fandom was vocal, but you actually have to be part of it to understand just how vocal they are. It's scarier than a Weeping Angel in a Dalek asylum, and much more deadly. It's not all bad news, though, and the show wouldn't have warranted such an almighty and ever growing fan base if it wasn't generally a good place to be. As of 2014, the show has an international audience of over 70 million viewers and you can't argue with statistics in this day and age. Still, as fun and far reaching as the series and its accompanying fandom is, there's problems everywhere you look and here are 12 examples of ones that only Doctor Who fans will ever be able to understand. What started out as a mild curiosity in a junkyard has become a worldwide phenomenon and being part of it is a rollercoaster to say the very least. Life is a pile of good things and bad things, though, and the good things definitely outweigh the bad. As the Doctor once wisely pointed out, though, that doesn't necessarily make the bad things any better...
