12 Problems Only Doctor Who Fans Will Understand

12. There's Always Going To Be An Older Fan Than You

Unless you've been watching the Doctor since 23rd November 1963, of course, in which you case you just can't be beaten. Here, have an honorary Jelly Baby - you deserve it! For everybody else, though, this is a problem that really shouldn't be a problem, but, like most things in life, somehow it still is. After all, you're the number one Doctor Who fan of all time bar none, but there's always that shard of doubt in your mind when you accept that, actually, you can't be his ultimate devotee because there's hundreds of people out there who have been watching it for a lot longer than you have. Take 'NuWHo' fans, for example, who first came across the Doctor upon his grand televisual return in 2005, or maybe even later. At this point the series was already over four decades old so, relatively speaking, they were very late to the party indeed. Does this make them any less of a fan, or warrant their love for him irrelevant? Of course it doesn't, but worrying about your Whovian worth it still something that keeps you up at night. Whether you're been around since day one or only watched your first episode this morning, every Doctor Who fan is here for the same reason, so let's try to get on rather than turning every aspect of our fandom into a competition.
