Whether it's an Easter egg or a set-dressing gaffe - more likely the former - there's little making sense of this bizarre visual detail in the classic season four episode "The One with Chandler in a Box."

When in Central Perk, Joey is seen stood next to a cake platter which contains...a potato.

There's not really any rational explanation for this beyond it being a gag intended to throw Matt LeBlanc off his take, or perhaps it was left in the cake platter as a placeholder, and with the show's original 4:3 presentation, the crew never expected any fans to actually see it.
