When it comes to network television, there are fewer guarantees for success than the state lottery. Every year, a new slate of shows crop up, only for a quarter of them to disappear by mid-season.

As a fan, this is distressing, because you buy into a premise and become a loyal viewer, only to have the rug yanked out from under you. Firefly fans can attest to this feeling of shock and loss, but unlike them, not everyone will get the satisfaction of a feature film revival.

Already, we've seen some shows fall by the wayside. Sunnyside was the very first show to be pulled during the 2019/2020 season, after airing only four episodes, as it was replaced by the final season of Will & Grace.

Though no one was too upset about the Kal Penn sitcom losing its place on the schedule, there are a number of decent shows in danger of losing their time slot in 2020...

12. Charmed

Film studios have been churning out successful nostalgic reboots for nearly a decade. As such, Television studios realized there was money to be made. Despite being absolutely ridiculous, nearly incomprehensible, and riddled with continuity issues, the original Charmed proved to be quite a success. Their fervent fan base kept the Halliwell coven on the air for eight seasons. Surely The CW was hoping for equal if not greater success with the Charmed reboot.

Unfortunately, this new incarnation of the show has not been drawing the crowds like they had hoped. With ratings as low as or lower than American Housewife, the Charmed reboot doesn’t seem long for this world.

Though this show is being hailed as progressive and feminist, ideals are not enough to keep this clunker on the air.
