12. The Order

The Order offered viewers a fresh new look at the tired old YA supernatural genre by bringing a lot of its own conventions together. In there, you had college students, secret societies, dark family secrets and, oh yeah, werewolves - and throughout the show's short run it became something of a hidden gem on Netflix. Sadly, it needed to be a lot less, well, hidden.

That said, the truth is that nobody knows why The Order was cancelled. However, it wouldn't be too out-there to suggest that it had something to do with Netflix's recent programming cull. The streaming service has been cancelling shows left, right and centre this year (and even reversing renewals on popular shows like GLOW and The Society because of the ongoing global situation). It was thought that The Order managed to avoid that fate because it made it through the height of the cancellation spree, but it eventually met its end in November.

Like the aforementioned shows, The Order had a lot left to give and it's a shame that it won't get the chance to fulfil that potential.
