9. 13 Reasons Why (Season 2)
No recent second season of a hit show has flamed-out quite as spectacularly as that of 13 Reasons Why.
After a confronting and compelling - if understandably divisive - first season, the evidently pointless second year ventured beyond the bounds of Jay Asher's source material to shambolic if not irresponsible effect.
With its bloated episode order, excess of low-rent melodrama and shift away from the more honest character drama that characterised the previous season, this follow-up was little more than a cringe-worthy attempt to cash-in on its runaway success.
The season naturally proved most infamous for its climactic broom-sodomy sequence, but if you tapped out long before that indignity, nobody would've blamed you.
At least Katherine Langford's still great in it, even if it's hard to be at all jazzed about the planned third season.
