It's a small, insignificant detail in the grand scheme of things, but how do the Mountain's men torture their victims for information? Using a rat, a bucket and a flame, of course.

Thrones is littered with fantasy elements, but there's a heart of factual medieval warfare underneath it all, including some historical battle plans and yes, torture techniques. This one involves strapping a metal bucket to the chest of the victim with a rat trapped inside. The torturer simply has to heat the bucket, forcing the rat to eat it's way through the victim's chest while they're still alive. Thrones has it all.
