13 Problems Only Game Of Thrones Fans Will Understand

12. Never Ever Being Able To Skip Opening Credits

Opening credits generally aren't the most interesting part of the show, and often you can skip them altogether if they're a bit too long. Sure, you drop whatever it is you're holding in order to perform the hand-clap in the Friends intro, but apart from that not many require your investment. Not so with Game of Thrones. The (admittedly very long) opening credits transform into a mechanical rendering of a map of the show, and as if that wasn't cool enough it actually tells you what to expect from the episode, as the credits change each time to only highlight the locations that particular instalment will be visiting. There's even little details, such as the Bolton sigil replacing the Stark's at Winterfell. Even if you don't pay that much attention, there's still the matter of the tune, which gets you ridiculously excited for what's to come and is impossible not to sing/hum along to, and will constantly be stuck in your head. I'm humming it to myself while writing this, and would bet a few of you are while reading. Sorry.
