9. Zach Dempsey

What made fans fall in love with Zach Dempsey was that, in spite of his one-dimensionally stereotypical jock friends, he was a really good guy. Though we saw glimpses of it throughout Season 1, it was his endearing friendship with Alex in the second season which really highlighted how much he had grown as a character.

The good news is that Zach maintained all of those fundamental values in Season 3, offering his support to Chlöe in her time of need, while also voicing his support for Clay and Justin when they got caught up in the midst of the Bryce Walker investigation.

Unfortunately, after a strong start, Zach became somewhat less relevant as the season went on, only returning to prominence in the last two episodes when he revealed what he did to Bryce. While that allowed him to take centre stage one more time, and renewed his friendship with Alex, he ultimately suffered from spending too much time off-screen.
