3. The Styling
Unlike the Season 2 trailer, this one isn't your traditional Netflix trailer. If anything, it's more of a teaser. And that, to many fans' surprise, is actually a good thing.
Adopting a more stylistic approach, the camera zooms its way through a number of potential scenes that we may see this season and, as it comes in close, the characters stop what they are doing and look elsewhere.
It's all in the styling too, as this was a moody, visually stunning piece of work that says a lot without actually saying anything. Notice how Alex and Monty's fight takes place in the bathroom (an allusion to what the latter did to Tyler in Season 2), or how Clay is standing outside a house in the rain that is almost certainly Bryce's? It doesn't need to feature a collection of clips because everything we need to know is in the subtext.
Sometimes, and especially in 13 Reasons Why's case, less is more. This was definitely less.
