As you'd expect for a drama in its fifth season, the ratings are way down from where they used to be when the show started, and the series could simply be drawing towards a natural endpoint: the finale is said to reveal a game-changing secret.

Why It Might Not

The final twist could lead to a new wave of interest in the show, and fresh storytelling ideas, which might give it a boost. And even though it's nowhere near its previous highs, it has only fallen around 5% from last year, which might be steady enough - especially after its spin-off quickly failed.
