The mid-season musical series hasn't been a big hit, with just 0.8 in the 18-49 demo, which is again towards the lower-end of NBC's ratings table, and the show is trending downwards, which fits with its mixed reviews.

Why It Might Not

NBC owns the series outright, under the Universal Television banner, which means it's more cost effective for them to make than something produced outside the company, and thus has a better shot at renewal.
