Like Wilson Fisk implies, art is very much subjective, and not based on knowledge. Liking something doesn't depend on knowing what "art" is. And it's very hard not to like this rendition of Vincent D'Onofrio as Fisk, using the key colors of the Daredevil series and Photoshopped to appear made out of Lego. Maybe it's the way the piece dances along the edge of abstraction, with the bright red Lego reminding us of how soaked in blood he is behind that calm appearance. Maybe it's also the Lego medium, oddly appropriate for a man who wants to rebuild Hell's Kitchen in his image, "brick by blood-soaked brick," as he once said in the comics.
