What Is It

A reboot of the classic 80s soap, which centred around an oil tycoon's family and a whole lot of all-female brawls and over-the-top storylines.

Reasons To Be Excited

If you're a fan of the original, then this one includes all of the same hallmarks you'd expect. And if you're not a fan of the original, well, then there's a lot of opulence, silliness, sexiness, and a surprising amount of fun, really.

It's very much in keeping with The CW brand, and looks like fitting in alongside previous shows such as Gossip Girl. Indeed it's from the same team behind that show, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (who also created The O.C.), and it should have the same appeal.
