What Is It

A reboot of both the 70s TV series and the 2003 movie (which starred Colin Farrell and Samuel L. Jackson), it sees a locally born S.W.A.T. agent tasked with running a new unit, which splits his loyalty between his duty and his old street mates.

Reasons To Be Excited

Shermar Moore (Criminal Minds) is certainly capable of carrying a TV show, and this is in the kind of territory that CBS should be able to turn into an exciting procedural. It's got some great talent behind-the-scenes too, with The Shield's Shawn Ryan on as an executive producer, and Justin Lin directing the pilot, which should really make it stand out in the action stakes.
