Four years after bringing House of Cards to Netflix, David Fincher is making a return to the streaming service, and a return to the topic of serial killers.

Based on the book Mind Hunter: Inside FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit, the series will take place in 1979. The story centres around two FBI agents, played by Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany, who interview imprisoned serial killers and apply what they learn to ongoing cases.

Fincher executive produces alongside Charlize Theron, with playwrights Joe Penhall and Jennifer Haley penning the scripts.
