9. The Tick

Amazon are getting increasingly good at the original programming game, even if they're not quite at Netflix's level yet. One of their most exciting new series this year is also one of the weirdest, with the return of blue-clad superhero The Tick.

The spoof superhero first emerged in comic form, before getting his own short-lived TV series (starring Patrick Warburton). Now Amazon are reviving the character, with the hilarious Peter Serafinowicz in the title role, and the excellent Jackie Earle Haley as villain The Terror.

This, however, shifts the focus to the sidekick, Arthur (Griffin Newman), and the pilot episode (which aired last year) garnered very positive reviews.
