During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Clarke described her audition with show runners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and a host of HBO executives. After acting her way through scenes in front of her demanding audience, she asked if there was anything else she could do for them. Clarke recalled: "David Benioff suggested I do a dance," to which she responded with a funky chicken, blended into a robot dance. "I heard laughter going on and I thought, 'Comedy gold!'" she explained.
