The critically acclaimed Showtime series The Affair, which explores the aftermath of an affair between Noah (Dominic West) and Allison (Ruth Wilson), is coming back for its fifth and final season this year, but with a major twist.

After four seasons exploring the stories of Noah, Allison, and their families, The Affair is going to jump 20-30 years into the future for parts of Season 5. While some key cast members will still be around for the present day storylines, including West, the rest of the story will focus on adult versions of younger characters, including Anna Paquin taking on the part of Joanie Lockhart, Allison's daughter.
