The second season of Breaking Bad could make a case for the show's best, partially due to its series of brilliant stand-alone episodes that occurred in the mid-season. In Peekaboo, Jesse goes after a pair of meth addicts who robbed his street handler Skinny Pete, in the process trying to protect their infant son. Eventually, the scene dissolves into a fight as the female addict, refused a hit by the male, reacts by pushing an entire stolen ATM machine on his head, crushing him completely. It was random, completely overkill and perversely amusing all at once, reminding us all of the lengths methamphetamine can push people to.
