Season 4 of the show brought Gus into the front-line as Walter's greatest antagonist. His attempts to turn Jesse against him, his chilling threat to his family and infant daughter in the desert and his ultimate death at Tio Salamanca's ringing bell brought his superb, defiant, character arc to a close. This particular scene highlights how psychotic and fearless Gus can be. Handling the Mexican cartel by daring a sniper to murder him the same way he did one of his men, arms up at his side, defiant and proud carries enough symbolic imagery to write a book of the bible. It's Breaking Bad at its heart-pounding, character exposition best.
