18. Margo's Got Money Troubles

Featuring one of the most impressively stacked TV ensembles of recent years, the delightfully inventive comedy Margo's Got Money Troubles wastes little time setting up a family saga with a unique spin.

Starring Elle Fanning as a college dropout who turns to OnlyFans to support herself and her unborn child, conceived during an affair with her former teacher, David Kelley's ode to family and confronting trauma is as hysterical as it is sweet, occassionally veering into all-out drama as Margo's troubles intensify.

With her loving but flawed parents in her corner (played by a quietly tragic Michelle Pfeiffer and a supportive Nick Offerman) and some help from a wonderful Nicole Kidman, Margo's Got Money Troubles is as charming as it is warm-hearted, a big, bold look at the importance of family and the different ways we tackle adversity.

Ending with a juicy twist, the second season has some big shoes to fill, but given the creativity and heart of this first batch of episodes, it surely can't fail.
