Here’s the unspoken joy of rewatching an old television series – you can play the game of picking out all the celebrity cameos before they were household names. Case in point, Seinfeld is one of the most renowned sitcoms for having famous faces before they were really famous appear on the show – Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston, Friends’ Courtney Cox, Gilmore Girls’ Lauren Graham, Frasier’s Jane Leeves etc. it’s always a nice surprise to see an unexpected familar face in your favourite television programmes.

And it’s the same with That ‘70s Show, except the producers are actually really smart with choosing their guest appearances. Being a comedy that is namely set in the 1970s, the cameos are often comprised of celebrities who were already famous from that era. The writers have a way of clever way of writing little gags based around their stardom whilst still paying tribute to their legacy.

But it's not just iconic stars of the 1970s. Many of the celebrity guests were just starting out as jobbing actors on their episode appearance and have since grown in fame, making their minor roles in the show all the more enjoyable.

20. Christopher Masterson

At the time of his cameo, Christopher Masterson had two connections to the main cast of That 70s Show - he is the younger brother of Danny Masterson (Hyde) and was also dating Laura Prepon (Donna) at the time of his appearance.

Christopher plays the character of Todd, the seemingly meek work colleague of Jackie at the Cheese Palace. He is in love with her and in a surprising turn of events, he manages to share a kiss with her. The news finds its way back to Kelso who is ready to fight him, completely unaware of Todd’s secret skills as a martial artist.
