The drama that first put HBO on the map, Oz is a brutally violent prison drama featuring every type of nasty character you could think of. Often gruesome and always claustrophobic, Oz is a very unique show and it certainly has more to it that just the bloody explosions of violence.

It's not a perfect show by any means, but it's one of the most memorable.
