Before landing the Laurel Lance gig on Arrow, Katie Cassidy had started to make a name for herself with small roles in the modern-day remakes of When a Stranger Calls, Black Christmas and A Nightmare on Elm Street. And its in the darker corners of cinema that she will find herself again later this year. Cassidy is on board to star in The Wolves at the Door, a film loosely based on the Manson murders of the late-1960s. The actress role is simply listed as Sharon, which is presumably Sharon Tate, the pregnant wife of Roman Polanski who was brutally slaughtered during the Manson Familys infamous attack. Given how poorly written the Laurel Lance character is on Arrow seriously, shes one of the only few gripes with the otherwise impressive show itll be interesting to see how Katie Cassidy does in a different role and in a different environment.
