While Chase was an acceptable partner for Jack in season 3, we also had to deal with the subplot of his being in a relationship with Kim. Since he was out in the field most of the time, we didnt have to deal with much relationship drama...that is, until his daughter Angela showed up. Before season 3, Chloe had been helping Chase out by watching Angela. During the op to secure the virus, Chloes babysitter called to say she had to drop off Angela because of a family emergency. With nowhere else to take her, Chloe was forced to watch Angela at CTU. Of course, since shes a baby, Angelas presence didnt stay secret for long. Eventually the CTU staffers found out, and Chloe was forced to reveal that it was Chases baby to keep her from being taken from Child Protective Services. Kim was surprised to learn that Chase had a child, but other than a brief conversation they had when he got back, this story wasnt touched upon again. Oh, and the baby stayed at CTU for the rest of the day. Great security at that place.
