4. The 12-Hour Digital Clock Was Used So Americans Weren't Confused
When 24 was conceived, the creators debated whether the clock should be a 12-hour or 24-hour one. In the end, however, they opted for 12-hour out of fear that a 24-hour clock would confuse American audiences. It says a lot about what Fox and the show-runners think of the average American viewer, or at least the American education system. It's pretty cynical either way you cut it.
