Some would argue that catchy, memorable and iconic theme tunes are a dieing art- a thing of the past- and unfortunately this does seem to be the case in recent television programming. Although it is my opinion that TV has vastly improved over the last 30 years or so, and now is so strong it is arguably a greater art form than film itself, one thing is for sure- TV theme tunes have gotten much less original and nowhere near as catchy. I for one want this to change. I miss signing along to the theme songs or humming along to the tunes. I will admit that I haven't seen every show I am about to credit on this list but this just goes to show the strength of these theme tunes, especially with the case of the theme tune I have placed in the number one spot. I have only seen a few episodes of the TV program at number one, but I know all the words to the theme song and sing along to it constantly. Can you guess what it is...
25. X-Men
This TV series needed to be recognized on this list because it really was my favorite cartoon series as a child (way before I found The Simpsons) and introduced me to Marvel and the X-Men universe- which is probably my favorite fictional universe of all time ever. When I used to watch episodes of this program pretty much everyday during the summer holidays I would have this incredibly catchy theme tune in my head all summer, and although I haven't seen this show in many many years I still have very fond memories of it and often find myself humming the theme tune even to this day. This however isn't the greatest comic book themed TV program theme tune to feature on this list. There are in fact two more programs worthy of much higher positions.
