1. President Bartlet Came Extremely Close To Appearing In The Final Episode Of The X-Files

The producers of The X-Files considered having Martin Sheen portray President Bartlet in the final ever episode of the show. In the scene, Bartlet would have been informed by members of The Syndicate that Fox Mudler had escaped from government custody.

However, eventually the producers decided to use an actor playing President George W Bush instead of Bartlet - but then the scene was cut from the final episode altogether anyway.
