Who: Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Alexander Skarsgård, Shailene Woodley

What: Created by David E. Kelly (Ally McBeal), this is an adaptation of Liane Moriarty's novel. It follows three mothers who becomes friends, which ultimately leads to murder.

Why: Positioned as a dark comedy/drama, the trailer for the show looks pretty impressive. There's an interesting premise, especially in witnessing these seemingly perfect lives unravel and, it almost goes without saying, but that cast is incredibly stacked. HBO will be hoping Kidman and Witherspoon are the new McConaughey and Harrelson.
